Not Everyone Understood the Assignment
The 2026 Met Gala was mid. Many of our favorites either played it safe, completely missed the mark, or just simply didn’t attend. Regardless here are the looks I enjoyed on tonights Beige carpet.
Sabrina Carpenter in Dior. I adore the old Hollywood glam and the ode to cinema as an art form. Her dress is made up of film from the classic 1954 Audrey Hepburn movie ‘Sabrina’ The pop star is sticking to the SabrinaWood aesthetic she debuted while headlining at Coachella last month and it’s working. 10/10
Sabine Getty in custom Ashi Studio. One of my favorite gala looks ever!
Chase Infiniti in Thom Browne brought Venus de Milo to life with 1.5 million stacked sequins in over 600 colors.
Emma Chamberlain in custom, hand-painted Mugler.
Gracie Abrams in Chanel. Her gown was inspired by the work of Gustav Klimt.
Anok Yai in Balenciaga. The supermodel channelled The Black Madonna.
A moment of silence for the glam! Breathtaking!
Karan Johar in custom Manish Malhotra. Drawing inspiration from Raja Ravi Varma paintings.
Kylie Jenner in Schiaparelli.
Kendall Jenner gave Greek Goddess in GapStudio by Zac Posen.
Jisoo made her blooming debut in Dior. This is the first time all 4 members of BlackPink are in attendance.
Wisdom Kaye in Public School Ensemble. Many of the iconic Fashion Influencer’s fans felt upset at the lack of invitation to last year’s "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” themed Gala. This year Wisdom came and slayed in full Dandy style. My favorite detail is the gloves.
Angel Reese in custom ALTUZARRA. Styled by The Reismans the Style-Design-Tailor Duo behind all of Olandria’s post villa looks.
The love island star and close friend of Angel’s absence was significantly noted.
We love when the WAGs step out and bring their husbands. Stephan & Ayesha Curry in Balenciage. Ciara in Celia Kritharioti and Russell Wilson in Brandon Blackwood.
Lisa in Robert Wun. The prosthetic arms on her veil were molded after her real arms adding a layer of intentionality to the surrealism look.
Patrick Schwarzenegger in Public School.
Maria Zardoya in Alexander McQueen.
Blue Ivy in Balenciaga. The young beauty broke the Gala’s strict 18+ rule by debuting at just 14 years old.
Mother and QUEEN B in Olivier Rousteing. This is the first time Beyonce is attending the Met Gala in a decade and she was one of the dedicated co-chairs of tonights event.
Angela Bassett in Prabal Gurung. While I didn’t love the look I did love how on theme it was. The look is inspired by the painting from the Harlem Renaissance “the girl in the pink dress” by Laura Wheeler Waring.
Sinead Burke in Christian Siriano. The disability activist also posed for two mannequins in the museum’s new exhibit.
Sza in a dress designed by Emily Adams Bode Aujla. The dress featured 100 yards of fabric and gems sourced from eBay.
Sam Smith in Christian Cowan. It’s an absolute a slay to have your partner dress you for Fashion’s night out.

Anne Hathaway in Michael Kors in collaboration with artist James McGough. The actress stunned in the hand painted gown walking the carpet on the arm of Kors himself.
It’s been an eventful weekend for Hathaway as the sequel to her fashion forward classic ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ premiered on Friday. The movie is rumored to be about Met Gala pioneer Anna Wintour.
